The operating carrier’s role
Melion provides membership access and negotiation support. It does not operate aircraft, supply flight crew, perform maintenance or exercise operational control. The named carrier is responsible for its flight operation under the authority and rules that apply. Weather, crew, maintenance, airport suitability, loading and dispatch decisions belong to the responsible operator and its crew.
Provider verification
Before Melion treats an operator identity as verified, the legal or trade identity is matched to current evidence from the applicable aviation regulator or another authoritative certificate record. Route, aircraft and operating authority still require flight-specific confirmation. A brand name, broker relationship, map listing or aircraft photograph is not enough on its own.
Melion Safety Rating
When the evidence is complete, Melion can publish a 0–100 rating with three visible components. 55% reflects a documented accident and serious-incident history covering 10 years, or the operator’s entire verified lifetime when it is younger than 10 years. 30% reflects material maintenance, enforcement and certificate actions from the applicable aviation regulator using the maximum authoritative public window available in that jurisdiction. 15% reflects Google consumer experience, using both the star rating and review count so a tiny sample does not outweigh a long review history.
Maintenance and service-difficulty reports are retained as context. Reporting volume is not automatically treated as misconduct or deducted one-for-one from a rating.
No complete evidence, no score
Melion does not turn a missing search result into a perfect safety record. A public or member-visible overall rating requires a verified operator identity, a completed accident-history review covering 10 years or the operator’s entire verified lifetime when younger, and a completed review of the authoritative regulatory/enforcement window publicly available for that jurisdiction. Melion requires at least 24 months of operating history before an overall rating can be published, at least 24 months of official regulatory coverage, and shows both periods reviewed to the member. When less than 10 years of regulatory history is publicly available, the unavailable months are held at a neutral 75-point baseline rather than credited as clean history. If the required review is incomplete, the member sees that the safety review is pending instead of an invented number.
A Melion Safety Rating describes documented history. It is not a prediction, guarantee, airworthiness determination or substitute for the operating carrier’s responsibility for the actual flight.
The member makes the final choice
When two suitable charter choices are available, Melion Intelligence can present both with the named operating carrier, aircraft, price and reviewed safety context before the member selects. ELP GPT helps organise and explain the comparison; it does not make the safety decision, inspect the aircraft, certify a carrier or issue operational clearance.
Raise a concern
Before departure, contact the carrier for an operating or safety question and Melion for a platform or disclosure concern. If the carrier changes, ask for the updated identity and arrangements. For an immediate emergency, contact local emergency services, airport personnel or the crew. Do not use website chat as an emergency-reporting channel.
Examples of official evidence sources
The relevant authority depends on the operator and jurisdiction. Melion uses primary regulator and accident-investigation records where available.

Choose aircraft preferences for each sector and combine empty legs with charter. Melion Intelligence consults suitable flight providers; you approve each final offer before booking. Melion’s service fee is 5% for an empty leg and 10% for charter, calculated on the original operator fare excluding government taxes. The full documented like-for-like operator discount becomes future-flight credit after completion and reconciliation; it does not reduce today’s payment. Each sector is separately confirmed and has its own cancellation and payment terms. Read the membership and service terms.
