Scope
This notice covers cookies, local storage, session storage and public offline caches on Melion’s website and web app. These technologies support different functions and can have different lifetimes. Hosted payment, identity-verification and other external services may use technologies described in their own notices.
Essential storage
Sign-in storage maintains an authenticated session and is removed or replaced by sign-out, session handling or browser controls. Flight-preference storage can remember a selected route, aircraft or unfinished request so that you can continue the action you requested. Installation prompts use a session preference. Public assets and public policy pages may be cached for offline access; private account, payment, passenger-document and API responses are excluded.
Financial and passenger records needed for a booking are held in the secure account service, not in the public offline cache. Blocking essential sign-in or payment technology may prevent those requested functions.
Preferences and optional tracking
The footer’s Cookie settings control records an essential-only preference in local storage as melion-cookie-preferences, with the time of your choice. It remains until replaced or cleared. No optional advertising or analytics tracker is enabled by that control in the current platform. There is no optional category to switch on.
If optional tracking is introduced, Melion will identify the purpose, provider and duration and obtain any required prior consent. Rejecting optional tracking must remain as accessible as accepting it, and withdrawing consent must prevent subsequent optional tracking. A later policy update alone is not consent.
Assistant and offline use
Assistant conversation text is held in page memory and is not saved by the public assistant in cookies, local storage, session storage or the public offline cache. Sending a message involves server processing described in the privacy policy. An offline page may be out of date; reconnect before relying on a fare, availability or current terms.
Your controls
Open Cookie settings in the footer to record the essential-only choice. Browser controls can block or clear cookies, local and session storage, site data and offline files. Clearing them may sign you out, remove saved preferences or require assets to download again. Clearing your browser does not delete financial or booking records held by Melion; use a privacy request for those records.
The preference control treats a browser Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of optional tracking. Optional tracking remains off even if local preference storage is unavailable.
Other providers and updates
Payment, verification, maps or other external services may apply their own essential technologies when you choose their function. Melion’s preference control does not control every provider’s site. Contact support@melionair.com for questions about a technology you observe or to exercise applicable privacy rights. Material changes are reflected in this notice before optional technologies are enabled.
